Translation DX Declaration

We are frustrated.

Why does it take six months for that bestseller to get translated?
Why doesn't that interview have proper subtitles?
Why can't children around the world read that manga in their native language at an affordable price?

DX and AI have been buzzwords for quite some time.
In many fields, expert knowledge and craftsmanship are being systematized,
through proper division of labor between experts and AI agents,
we're approaching an era where high-quality products can be offered affordably.

But what about translation?

Sure, translation apps have evolved to the point where we no longer struggle with conversations while traveling or understanding academic papers.
These "fast translations" aim for accurate information transfer.
However, the mission of "slow translation" for books and entertainment works is not "information transfer."
It's about recreating the author's intent, or the characters' intentions, in another linguistic world.
This requires information not in the original text—vast amounts of context.

Context is data, and AI agents can powerfully support its processing.
Just as they can assist with driving or surgery.
And "slow translation" will become faster and more affordable.

Just as coding AI won't eliminate the job of engineers,
translation AI won't eliminate the job of translators.
What will happen is a dramatic change in the speed and cost of output.

And an era will come where everyone can share stories faster and more accessibly.
We believe in this future.
